Singletrack running from the cliffs above Hurricane along the edge of the
Virgin River Gorge. Links to lower end of J.E.M. trail. Out-and-back,
one-way with shuttle from upper or lower JEM trailheads, or option of long
loop using Gould's Rim Trail. Moderate climbing. Rough rock makes this
upper-intermediate tech. Season February through
mid-December. |

JEM Doubletrack.
Doubletrack along the skirts of Gooseberry Mesa, suitable for beginners
and bike trailers. Useful as a loop route to reach intermediate-level
trails. |

J.E.M. Trail.
Classic! Climb to the northern
edge of Gooseberry Mesa near the town of Virgin, then descend to the
Virgin River on singletrack. Intermediate technical, modest climbing.
Season February through mid-December, plus most winter days. |

More Cowbell.
Beginner-level singletrack, suitable for children. 3.4 mile lariat loop
from the Highway 59 JEM trailhead. Minimal gentle climbing. Season year-round. |

Church Rocks
(Washington). Loop west of I-15 between Washington and Quail Creek.
Slickrock and some singletrack. Mild climb, intermediate technical. Season
year-round. |

Dino Cliffs Trail
(Washington). Open rock and desert singletrack, as out-and-back, loop ride, or as a
route to Church Rocks or Prospector. Eastern end suitable for beginners.
Loop is just over 4 miles, minimal climbing. Season year-round. |

Little
Purgatory This is a six-mile loop with a highly technical
descent over rough rock just south of Leeds. Moderate climbing, via the Historic Babylon
trail. Recommended for experts only. Season year-round as snow and rain
allows. |

Prospector Trail
(Harrisburg). This intermediate-technical trail runs along cliffs from Leeds to
Washington. Dirt singletrack, little climbing. Connects to Church Rocks. Season year-round. |

East Lakeside Trail. Intermediate level singletrack between the
Overlook trail system and Quail Lake. Season year-round. |

(West Lakeside) Trail.

of Quail Creek Reservoir, 6.2 mile ride with multiple shorter options.

northeast edge of Quail Creek reservoir. Not officially open for riding at
this time, but can be done by permission or in conjunction with a trail

Blues (Quail Creek area). Expert-level small loop ride on the skirts of

the Arizona border southeast of St. George. Easier-intermediate technical,

Fantastic riding area on a mesa southwest of Zion National Park.
Singletrack and slickrock, stunts, fun technical stuff. Advanced
technical. Only brief sprint-type climbs. Season February through

Gooseberry Mesa
Northeast Rim (The Gander). Long uninterrupted
singletrack along the northeastern edge of Gooseberry Mesa, not officially
sanctioned. Local advocates are working on BLM access and private land
issues. Around 10
miles of singletrack, 15-mile loop. Advanced technical. Great views. Season February through
mid-December. |

Gooseberry Mesa
White Trail (and Slickrock 101).
Good family ride. Easy
technical, tiny bit of climbing on double-track (jeep road) that runs the
length of Gooseberry Mesa. Around three miles, with options for longer
rides, including combination with short sections of singletrack trail.
Great views. Season February through
mid-December. |

Gooseberry Windmill
(includes Bowls and Ledges). Alternate loop on the north end of Gooseberry Mesa, shorter than the
bigger loops to the south. Singletrack runs along the northern cliff edge.
Moderately-advanced technical, no big climbs. Season February through
mid-December. |

Gooseberry Harris
Secret Trail. The Harris Secret Trail is one of the toughest
trails on Gooseberry. It's narrow and highly technical. Reserve this trail
for experienced riders who've done The Goose enough to be bored with the
(awesome) "regular" trails. 13-mile loop. Season February
through November. |

Grafton Mesa.
Doubletrack to viewpoint, then steep drop down old coach road (eroded into
singletrack) to the valley. Steep tricky descent. Loop 9.5 miles in
length with 1100 elevation gain, top altitude 5000 feet. Located just outside Zion National
Park. Season late March through late November. |

Grafton Mesa
Singletrack and Grafton
Wash. Unofficial paths on Grafton Mesa. Grafton Wash connects
through Grafton Wash to the Gooseberry Northeast Rim. Grafton Mesa is a
loop of singletrack with stunts, not sanctioned or authorized. Ride at
your own risk. Season March through November. |

Guacamole Trail
(Highway 9). Singletrack and open slickrock riding. Intermediate to advanced, with
plenty of stunt opportunities. Around 8 miles in length, little elevation
gain -- a lot of quick ups and downs. Located just outside Zion National

Southeast Trails (Highway 9). Add-on trails
at the southern end of the Guacamole Loop, Lime with a Twist and Holy
Guacamole. Expert level technical, not much climbing. |

Fantastic new trail system east of Hurricane, south of Gooseberry Mesa.
Includes three ride options: West Mesa 9 miles, The Point Loop 9 miles,
Sandstone Loop 6 miles. Singletrack through pinion forest plus broad areas of slickrock. Stunts
and fun technical stuff. Advanced technical, little climbing. Season April
through November. |

(Springdale). Singletrack climbs up to a loop on the mesa north of Rockville, west of
Zion Canyon. Intermediate technical, light-moderate climb. Some stunt

101 at Gooseberry Mesa. Easy
technical, good for experienced beginners. Around 1.3 miles, forms a loop
with the first section of the White Trail.Season February through

Gooseberry area. Partially finished (November 2016) with anticipated

Confluence
Park (La Verkin). Short trails of interest
to local riders. Main trail is broad graded doubletrack. Views of the

Elementary "Cat" trails - Wildcat, Lynx, Bobcat (Hurricane).
Very short, goathead-infested trails near the elementary school in
Hurricane. Season
year-round. |

Moenkopi Trail,
plus La Verkin Creek. Two rides: up-and-down
out-and-back ATV-track, nice views, easier technical with occasional
climbing. Around 7 miles in length. Connects to La Verkin Creek gorge
ride, head up-creek. Located north of Hurricane, just east of La Verkin. Season
March through mid-December. Not recommended during wet weather! |

Nephi's Twist
Nephi's Twist is a short doubletrack ride up a colorful wash near La
Verkin. The non-official version includes a highly technical ridge-line
ride. But this singletrack can only be found by those who know exactly
where it is. Season March through early December. |

Sand
Mountain (Hurricane Dunes, West Rim). ATV
track, slickrock, and sand dunes recommended for strong and adventurous
fat-bike riders. Season year-round. |

Steamboat
Mountain. Short singletrack trail on the
edge of the mountain above Springdale near the entry to Zion National
Park. Season year-round. |

|
West
Rim (Sand Mountain, The Maze). ATV track to
slickrock playground. Fat bike recommended due to loose surface and sand
on connecting doubletrack. Season year-round. |

|
Warner Valley.
Two loops, 6 miles easier technical (Honeymoon Loop), 11 miles
upper-intermediate (Warner Valley Loop), mostly singletrack in the desert
of Warner Valley. Little climbing, fairly high-speed ride. Located 15
miles east of St. George or 15 miles south of Hurricane. Season year-round. |

Warner Valley
Cholla II Loop. 10.5-mile loop in northeastern Warner Valley (10
miles south of Hurricane, 15 miles east of St. George). Some slickrock, a
couple of very short sandy sections, a couple of technical spots. Fairly high-speed,
intermediate-tech ride. Season year-round. |

Zion Canyon and Pa'rus
Trail. Bike trail in lower Zion Canyon
connects to road up Zion Canyon to the mouth of the narrows. Light but
steady climb, easy technical. Cars can be a problem when the shuttle buses
aren't running. Season mid-February through mid-December. |

Hog
Canyon (Kanab). ATV trail system with substantial climbing
and loose sand. Advanture ride for very strong experienced riders with

Flat Reservoir paved bike trail 3.6
mile paved loop around a reservoir south of Kanab. Very scenic and fun for
families. Also used extensively by local roadies. Season March through December. |

Kanab
Singletrack Loops Raven, Roadrunner. Short loops on the
north edge of Kanab, with larger system planned but still under
construction. Season March through December. |

Pugh
Canyon (Kanab). Short doubletrack trail up Pugh Canyon from the
edge of Kanab. Easy technically, only slight climbing. Season May through October. |

Rainbow Rim
(Grand Canyon North Rim). 18-mile (one way) trail along the edge of the
Grand Canyon. Connects 5 trailheads/viewpoints.
Season June through early October. |

Tilted Mesa Located 10
miles east of Kanab. Several trails in BLM riding area under construction.
As of April 2023, 90% of the trails are finished and open for riding. Expected season

Tom's
Canyon (Kanab). Three-mile ride in Tom's Canyon on the edge of
Kanab. Pretty, fun up-and-down riding on narrow singletrack. Intermediate

to Zion National Park. Multiple ride options from easy to high-expert.
