Sherwood Hills
Logan, Saturday June 18, 2011
This was the best ICup race at Sherwood Hills
ever, and probably the finest race so far in the 2011 ICup series. The
trail was sooo nice, the trees and flowers were pretty, and the
temperature was absolutely perfect. Michael Buhler and Joel Quinn got 1st
place wins in this race. The UMB team had 2nd-place finishes by Ian Beaty,
Denmark Jensen, and Jason Sparks. But the twisting singletrack through the
trees was its own reward.

make it around to where our photographers were patiently waiting, so no
photo.

We're down to the critical "end
game." Three more races to go. It's crunch time. Individual racers
will be fighting for points toward their category championships. For
example, at this race Joel took over 1st place in Men's 57-plus. The team
championship is up for grabs, and these final races will determine who
gets the big shiny trophy for their shop wall. Mad Dog is still ahead, but
the win is easily within reach if our racers show up and race hard. More pictures:
