Deer Valley Pedalfest
Park City, June 10, 2006
After two days of heavy thunderstorms had soaked the mountains of Deer
Valley, June 10 dawned cool and clear. Despite the recent rain, the long
singletrack loop over Deer Crest and Snowtop was just damp enough to be
interesting. The riding was exciting. And if the racers could take their
eyes off the fast twisting singletrack for a minute, the views were
awesome. Fifteen UtahMountainBiking.com riders reported to Deer Valley,
with 13 scoring points for the team.

At Deer Valley, the UMB race team edged Revolution for the
win. We widened the gap on Mad Dog in earned points, and our trailwork
points should give us a good grip on 2nd place. We continue to peck away
slowly at Revolution's grip on 1st place. Thanks
to Jay Griffin for the race photos (finish-line and podium photos by Kris
Nosack).
Sally Hutchings sprints across a
meadow as she
completes the loop for 6th place in Women 35-plus. |
