Chop'd Coyote or Coyote Middle
Chop'd Coyote, also known as Coyote Middle, is located north of Heber in the Riverview riding area. This 4.9 mile trail links the middle of Upper Riverview trail to the backside of the Coyote Loop. It can be done as an out-and-back if you climb 1.6 miles from the UVU Wasatch Campus trailhead to reach Upper Riverview, then head south 0.4 miles to find Coyote Middle on the uphill side. This page describes a north half-loop from the Highway 32 trailhead, and a southern half-loop from the UVU trailhead. |

Getting there, UVU Wasatch Campus Trailhead: On US-40 north of Heber (between Heber and the traffic light below the Jordanelle dam, turn east (toward the mountain) at the UVU Wasatch campus. Go to the uppermost level of parking behind the UVU buildings. Look for the duck-under and kiosk N40 32.798 W111 24.735. Riverview Trailhead: Go to the traffic light where US-40 meets Highway 32 (mile 14.2 south from I-80). Turn onto 32 and climb 1.1 miles.
