Utah Mountain Biking Trail News

The Bench Creek singletrack loop climbs to top of mountain, then descends via Camp Hollow and Little South Fork singletracks. 5 miles of pavement to close loop. Moderate technical with some log-hops and rock gardens. Very strenuous 17 miles.

Bennie to Beaver Dam Loop. Long tough loop from Birdseye up Bennie Creek, over the top of Payson Canyon via Blackhawk, then down Beaver Dam Canyon, and out via Nebo Creek.

Big Baldy Loop. Extremely tough, long loop ride with extensive climbing, technical downhill, rough trail surfaces. Uses Grove Creek for uphill, Dry Canyon for downhill. For strong, skilled, adventurous riders only. Season late June through September.

Big Spring Hollow (South Fork of Provo Canyon). A Must-Ride Classic! Short-but-sweet singletrack loop in the South Fork of Provo Canyon. Meadows, forested riding, a few views of the mountains. Mild climbing, low-intermediate technical. Season May through October.

Bill's Sandy. Short easy trail inside the Luke's Trail loop north of Price. Season April through November.

Black Brush. Starts at the Barrel Roll trailhead. Signed for horse and foot traffic. 4.2-mile lariat loop within the Santa Clara River Preserve. Please reserve this one for non-bicycle users. Views of area and into Santa Clara River gorge.

Black Dragon Wash. Doubletrack long downhill with shuttle, terminating in impressive ride through narrows of Black Dragon Canyon. Option of out-and-back from lower trailhead through best area of ride. Large slickrock area with view deep into canyon. Easy-intermediate technical.

Singletrack loop in Payson Canyon, for a ride in the upper Nebo Loop area. Aspen and pine, occasional views. Includes Rock Springs Trail. Longer ride with moderate climbing, intermediate technical. Shorter loop options available.

Narrow technical downhill route near Tony Grove Lake in Logan Canyon. Top altitude 8500 feet, 500 feet of climbing followed by 4 miles of twisting downhill with rock challenges. For advanced riders only.

Blowhard Mountain. Steep advanced-technical downhill trail, starts near Cedar Breaks at high altitude. Nice views. One-way (7 miles downhill) with shuttle, or loop up to top with brutal 12-mile road climb. Season late June through mid-September.
