The western Uintah mountains are easily reached from the Wasatch Front for a day trip. While most of the Uintah area is official wilderness, these are trails you can ride!

Trails that lie on the foothills above the towns of Utah Valley -- and there are a LOT of them. Lower-elevation riding for early in the season, or after the snow closes the higher trails.

Vernal has nice bike trails on both sides of town, extending all the way up to Flaming Gorge.
