Ogden Area

365 Trail. Easy trail in North Fork Park, forms a loop with Pipeline trail. Can be linked to Mule Loop (see below).

Ben Lomond. Monster narrow-singletrack climb of 3000 vertical feet over 6.1 miles. May be done as out-and-back, or as a shuttled ride by adding the Northern Skyline (12.6 miles), or as a loop ride by adding another 7 mile of paved road. For strong skilled riders only.

Mueller Park to North Canyon. Newer 4-mile section of the BST from the North Canyon trail to the Mueller Park trail. Moderate climbing, easy technical. Updated 2024 to include new Mill Creek segments.

Bonneville Shoreline - Northern Ogden. Singletrack between Ogden Canyon and North Ogden Canyon. Season March through November, occasionally open in winter.

Bonneville Shoreline - Ogden. Broad track along the mountains east of Ogden. Intermediate technical, some easy technical, moderate climbing. Hot in summer afternoons. Season March through November, occasionally open in winter.

Bonneville Shoreline - Pleasant View (North Ogden Divide). Trail from North Ogden Canyon to Pleasant view trailhead. Page includes more-technical trail extending north to Willard Canyon. Season March through November, occasionally open in winter.

Bonneville Shoreline Trail (BST) from Stone Creek near Skyline Drive to the Sessions Mountain trails, then extending a few miles further south. Currently dead-ends just north of Mueller Park area at mile 7.4 from Stone Creek.

Powder Mountain Brim Loop. Highly scenic 6-mile loop at 8600 feet at Powder Mountain Resort. Easy-intermediate technical, gentle climbing. Other Powder Mountain trails Doctor's Dozen, Brittain's Ribbon, and Trail Yeah! Season late June through September.

West-side trails at Powder Mountain, including Brittain's Ribbon and Woody's World. Paper Airplane, GBPB trails. Season late June through September.

Loop ride at Snowbasin, a bit over 5 miles. Very pretty forested ride on twisty trail with optional tech. Also used as a race loop.

Cutler Flat Loop - Long Loop - Middle Fork. Located in North Fork Park in Ogden Valley, this is a small ride with big singletrack. Season June through October.

Cutler's Twist. Very nice flow trail with banked turns, two-way but suggest downhill riding. Season June through October.

East Fork Loop. Smooth easier-technical six-mile alpine loop at mid-altitude, on the base of Mount Ogden. Moderate climbing. Pretty forested ride. Season June through October.

East Mountain Wilderness Park. Around 4 miles of nice singletrack trails within the park, mostly quite easy to ride. Season mid-April through November.

Sidewinder Eden. Nice 4-mile loop on the hillside east of Eden, quick access off the Powder Mountain road. Season June through October.

Green Pond Loop. Intermediate-technical 11-mile alpine loop at the base of Mount Ogden, includes Wheeler Creek, East Fork, Green Pond, and Snowbasin Resort's Strawberry Express trails. Moderate climbing. Pretty forested ride. Season June through October.

The Hidden Lake trail is a one-mile trail from the upper Bountiful Bench to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.

Sunrise Trail traverses the upper Powder Mountain area between two limbs of the Doctor's Dozen trail. Season mid June through September.

The Legacy Mountain trails are on the slope between Pineview Reservoir and Old Snowbasin Road. 6.2 miles of trail with 13 named routes.

Moose Tracks is a very popular trail on the northwestern side of the North Fork trail system near Eden. Easy technical but with many optional trailside tech features. Moderate climbing.

Mountain Green (Cottonwoods trail system). Multiple singletrack trails on the side of -- and inside -- The Cottonwoods area of Mountain Green. Easy technical with mild climbing. Season late May through October.

Mule Ear - Mule Shoe Loop Loop trail in North Fork Park of Ogden Valley, moderate climbing, intermediate technical. Season late May through October.

Nordic Valley (Eden). Loop of singletrack in ski slope area of Nordic Valley Resort. Easier technical, mild climbing. Season June through October.

North Canyon (Bountiful). Combines doubletrack, then beautiful forested singletrack for a great 4-mile hill climb from Bountiful to Rudy's Flat.. Intermediate technical singletrack, substantial climb. Season June through September.

Northern Skyline. A Must-Ride Classic! Climb to the Ben Lomond Peak trail from the North Ogden Divide, descend into North Park in Ogden Valley. Road return loop. Intermediate technical singletrack, big climb. Season June through September.

Ogden Overlook. Also known as Coldwater Canyon Overlook. Near Snowbasin resort, climbs 1100 feet, option 8-mile Sardine Peak loop with views over Snowbasin, Pineview, and Ogden. Season July through October.

Perry Canyon (Grizzly Peak) (Brigham City). Stiff climb up Perry Canyon (a couple of miles south of Brigham City) onto the upper slopes of Grizzly Peak. 6.4 miles length, 3300 vertical climb starting at 4500 feet. Recommended for strong climbers. Lower 3 miles snow-free by late May. Upper trail July through September.

Pineview Trail. Short (3.2 mile) fairly flat singletrack trail between two trailheads on the western shore of Pineview Reservoir. Suitable for beginners and children. Season late April through November.

Sardine Peak Loop route at Snowbasin resort, climbs 1100 feet, 8-mile loop with views over Snowbasin, Pineview, and Ogden Canyon. Season July through October.

Engineered DH flow trail system above Bountiful, 7.5 miles of trail. Season late May through October.

Smith Creek Lakes. High altitude ATV-track ride to glacial cirque lakes from Francis Peak. Fairly short, intermediate technical. Option of long climb by including Francis Peak road. Season July through September.

Snowbasin Resort. Extensive, well-maintained trail system served by ski lifts on resort property. Riding the resort's trails is free. Or ride the gondola to the top for a small fee. See Snowbasin's web site for current information. Season July through September.

Ogden Foothill trails, including Foothill, Bonneville Shoreline, Par Course Loop. Short and easy exercise-station loop just above Weber State. Season May through November.

Southern Skyline. Singletrack climb from Pineview Reservoir to Lewis Peak, then down to the North Ogden Divide. Road return loop. Intermediate technical, big climb. Season mid-May through September.

Spork. This is an engineered one-way bikes-only loop trail in Ogden Valley's North Fork Park, reached via the 365 trail. OK for strong beginners, recommended for intermediates or better. Late May through October.

The Farm Farmington trail system. Foothill trails organized in short loops ranging from experienced beginner to high expert. Around 8 miles to ride everything. Season early May through November.

Trail Yeah! 3.2 mile loop at the northeast corner of the Powder Mountain riding area. Must be reached via Sunrise trail. Season mid June through September.

Traildemic and Bicentenial. Located in North Fork Park in Ogden Valley. Page features loop ride of Traildemic and entire length of Bicentennial. Season June through October.

Wheeler Trail. Cindered doubletrack near Pineview Reservoir dam joins Maples (Wheeler Creek) singletrack trail to climb to Maples Campground. Intermediate technical, moderate climb. Season mid-May through September, lower section April through November.

White Rock. Alternate route on Perry Canyon to Grizzly Peak climb, or 10-mile loop ride using lower Grizzly Peak trail. Climb is 10 miles uphill, 4200 vertical feet. Loop has just over 2000 vertical feet of climbing. For stronger climbers. Season June through October.

Trail links the Wild Rose trailhead to the US-89 area. Uphill access for locals, downhill with shuttle for out-of-town riders.

Willard Mountain to Ben Lomond (Mantua). Doubletrack climb to Willard Basin, then singletrack to the top of Ben Lomond Peak. Full ride 29 miles (shorter options) with 5800 vertical feet of climbing. Cliffside exposures. Season late July through September.
