UtahMountainBiking.com sponsors a racing team. Our major activities are the Utah Cyclocross Series and the Intermountain Cup Racing Series. Our team members do other cross-country, 24-hour, downhill, hillclimb, and even road races in the Utah area. If you have the enthusiasm to lead a squad of our team in another bike racing activity, let us know.

What does it take to join the UMB team?

Desire!   You must want to race (no experience necessary).
Bike!   You need a bike. Seems logical.
   Money?  You'll want a jersey. There's no fee to join the team.
   Time!   You'll need some free Saturdays during the race season.

Is there room for me on the UMB team?

Yes!    No matter what category you race in, or how sadly out-of-shape you are,
                                 if you want to race, we'll make a place for you on the UMB team.
                The UMB team is kid-friendly. Several families race with us.

What do I get if I join the UMB team?

Fun! Be a part of something! Hang with your fellow team members!
Glory! Show friends and relatives photos of you, racing, on the team scrapbook pages!
Mechanical Services! We'll attempt to fix your bike. Free, and worth it.
Food! Join our after-race picnics. It's free.

Free GU and drink at races!

Fitness! Get tough.

Racing Jerseys: UtahMountainBiking.com racing jerseys are available to team members at $60. The 2010 jersey shown at left features a subtle Argyle pattern of gray, black, and yellow. Intermountain Cup rules say you should wear the official team jersey while racing. But if you're strapped for cash and still want to look awesome, we can supply a "loaner" jersey for your first race.

We also have matching high-quality team-logo shorts, bibs, and socks at special prices for team members! Shown at right is the UtahMountainBiking team warmup jacket.

                   for team bulletins
          Forum username (so we can authorize you to see the secret UMB Race Team section).
                   Please sign up on the forum now, if you haven't already, under that username!
          Contact information
                   Phone number and address
          Race series (Squad) -- what race type you'll specialize in (can be more than one)
                   For example, "Intermountain Cup Series", "Cyclocross", or "Solitude Weekday Race Series"
          Category of racer within that race series
                   Example, "Men 19-29 Expert", "Cyclocross Cat C"
          Optional stuff:
              Home town
              The bike you race
              Brief racing history or riding experience (example, "1st year racing, 8 years riding mountain bikes, did Lotoja twice")
              Something interesting about you? (example, "scuba diver" or "state champion swimmer")
              A small photo, if you have one you want us to use for the roster
                          Or we'll just grab a photo of you from your first race.
